I recently started the transition from 1Password to the new Passwords app in macOS 15.

The experience of using the builtin system is much better than the experience of 1Password the last couple of years.

Even though my son was using 1Password, the rest of my family was not. It didn’t work reliably enough for them.

I’ve now setup different sharing groups in Passwords, and they are all using this. I’ll call that a win.

The only thing keeping me from going all in right now, is something Jason Burk mentioned on Hemispheric Views episode 115. The risk of not being able to reach my password if something happens to iCloud.

In essence, I would need a backup system of my passwords. 🤔
